Alaska Airlines will sell you the exact same ticket for more miles (35K), so that is why you need to book this flight with British Airways (which means you need British Airways miles - you can get these by applying for a British Airways credit card or by transferring Chase or Amex points to a British Airways account). You can also check southwest to see how much their miles tickets are going for, they only release these 3 months before departure.
